How we rank
Every list starts from each business's own rating and review count on public listings. Our newer lists use a review-weighted score: it balances a business's rating against how many reviews back it up, so one 5-star review can't outrank hundreds of real ones. They require at least 10 reviews and show each brand only once. Our original health club lists rank within a club tier first, then by rating. In every case we check that each pick is an open, public business of the right kind.
