Privacy Policy

What this site is

PointClickFit, operated by PCF, LLC, is an independent directory and review site for health clubs, fitness studios, clinics and similar businesses. Visitors never need an account to use the directory. Business owners can create a free account to claim their listing and, if they choose, advertise on the site.

Information we collect

• When you use the newsletter or contact form: we collect the name and email address you provide, plus any message you write. These forms are processed by a third-party service, Web3Forms, which delivers the submission to our inbox. We don't store form submissions in our own database beyond that email.
• When you browse the site: we use Google Analytics to understand traffic and page usage (which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, what device and browser are used). Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. We don't use this data to identify individual visitors personally, and we don't sell it.
• When you click a business's Visit Website button: we record the click (which business, when, and technical details such as your IP address and browser type). We use this to count billable clicks for advertisers and to filter out automated or fraudulent traffic.
• If you create a business account: we collect your email address and password (sign-in is handled by our database provider, Supabase), the business listings you claim, and your advertising settings, such as your monthly budget.
• If you advertise: you enter your payment card directly into a secure form provided by Stripe, our payment processor. Your full card number never passes through our servers. We keep only the card brand, the last four digits and a Stripe reference, along with billing records (clicks counted and amounts charged).
• If you install the app (PWA): a service worker caches some static site files on your device so the app loads faster and works offline in a limited way. This is stored locally on your device only; it isn't sent to us.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
• We don't run ad-retargeting pixels.
• We don't require visitors to create an account or provide payment information to use the directory.
• We never see or store full payment card numbers.

Third-party services we use

• Google Analytics: site traffic and usage analytics.
• Web3Forms: processes newsletter and contact form submissions.
• Netlify: hosts the website.
• Supabase: stores business accounts, claims and advertising records.
• Stripe: processes advertising payments.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data that passes through it.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send. You can also block cookies or use browser tracking-protection features; most of the site will still work normally without them. Business owners can ask us to remove their account or claim by contacting us.

Children's privacy

PointClickFit is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
